AVP - Compliance - Insurance - LLB

- Handles complex specialized compliance routines, such as licensing, monitoring, research, training and awareness, data compilation and synthesis, report drafting, performance monitoring or assessment and task management for assigned area, country or geography

- Makes recommendations based on review and escalates issues as appropriate.

- Supports formulation of responses which may include responses to regulators and other supervisory entities.

- Assists a more senior Compliance role with the development of policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and changes in market conditions in area of responsibility.

- Takes initiative in identifying Compliance initiatives and responds to questions from business colleagues on the application of Compliance programs. Advises colleagues on licensing issues and resolves licensing in jeopardy

- Technical Skills MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

- Ability to analyse complex legal problems quickly and concisely.

Prior Experience :

- 5+ years in the insurance industry, preferably with an insurer or broker in a compliance function

- Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations.

Education/Qualification : CA/LLB preferable though not mandatory
