Job Summary:
Candidate will have the necessary experience of providing the chemical management and control services deliverables for the chemical and materials/Food and beverages/automotive sectors.
This role holder is expected to perform the following core responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Thorough deep knowledge and subject-matter experience across the EHS spectrum, assisting the SVP in formulating and implementation of the EHS business strategy & development;
- Implement the Business plan for the financial year to meet the defined financial, operations, learning and process improvement goals;
- Management of all deliverables as per client contract for existing and new clients around EHS Audits & reporting, EHS Risks & Controls, EHS Compliance management and Management systems development.
- Partner with the SVP in helping Clients transform business processes to help reduce & lower risks, aimed at an enhanced EHS Strategy, a more balanced & integrated risk focus and the integration of technology & advanced analytics that can ultimately lead to increased revenue.
- Responsible for scaling up the EHS capability/team, aimed at raising awareness amongst existing/new clients on reducing the risks and consequence of adverse impact on EHS ; assisting in fresh hiring & grooming young talent ; Responsible for performance evaluation of reporting staff and for building up staff capability to support identified areas of growth.
- Be part of an expert team for researching chemical legislation compliance for global and regional regulatory functions to assist clients in meeting their chemical regulatory compliance, product stewardship and sustainability goals.
- Develop strategies for registration of client chemicals and products in various global geographies.
- Act as project manager for a portfolio of projects, developing and implementing project plans that involve generation of new data or issue management.
- Keep current with the changing regulatory environment and proactively communicate the potential impact of emerging regulations; Create and maintain regulatory information and documentation for compliance with country specific chemical legislation.
- Work in tandem with SVP to strategically enhance Inside Sales capacity over the longer term, keeping up with ever-increasing challenges. This includes growing Inside Sales capabilities, talent, work processes, tools and systems to improve the quality of product and efficiency of delivery.
- Maintain long-term and smooth relationships with clients by providing higher value and lower total cost to them through performance excellence.
Proposed attributes
- 10-15 years of experience in the chemical management and control service compliance industry. Project Delivery experience with service providers/consultancies in India and abroad would be highly desirable.
Qualification - A master's degree in environmental engineering/Chemistry/Toxicology / Food/FCM technologies from reputed institute. For exceptional candidates, bachelor's degree can also be considered for candidates with highly relevant experience.
- A good knowledge of market regulatory trends and the current and future state of the Indian and Global chemical outsourcing market is highly desirable.
- Experience and relationships working in or with global consultancy firms.
- Experience of building & leading diverse teams in the EHS arena, with the ability of display a broad spectrum of managerial / leadership styles.
- At least 5 years of similar demonstrated operations experience in a leadership role leading SME teams and major client accounts working with service providers.
- Ability to undertake domestic/ overseas travel is expected.
