AVP - Business Intelligence Unit

A leading client of ours is looking for an AVP - BI.

KRA's:

- Build and lead a high profile BIU team with a mandate to drive data-based decisions within the company.

- Advocate & Implement- enterprise- Business Intelligence standards, best practices and approved BI techniques.

- Works with various departments for driving business Intelligence with focus on all aspects of analytics including risk analytics, financial analytics, crime analytics, business and marketing analytics, building predictive scores, data engineering, business reporting and data governance roles.

- Lead/Collaborate/Transform business processes by working across teams and functions to generate insights.

- Consult and partner with leadership to develop sound communications and change management plans.

- Organize and lead design, code & process review sessions to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and performance guidelines.

- Work alongside of peers and inculcate best practices (data prep tools, connected data approaches, data cataloguing etc. which can elevate the team's ability to tackle business and technical challenges

- Showcase thought leadership, look for ways to integrate better business solutions.

- Communicate data architecture to development teams.

- Consult and perform design reviews to ensure business needs are met.-

- Collaboratively troubleshoot technical and performance issues in the big data ecosystem-

- Communicate effectively with business to understand needs, anticipate requirements more accurately and suggest best solution approach.

- Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes or technology.

- Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the management team to facilitate efficient decision making.

- Build and maintain relationships across all departments / functions in order to influence outcomes; strengthen leadership teamwork and foster long-term partnerships that are critical to organization's success.

- Assume and supervise business operations and all day-to-day responsibilities for projects and tasks ensuring business plan is being executed within budget and given deadlines.

Knowledge/Skill/Experience:

- Regular synthesis, reporting, dashboards and insight driven approach for the products/business numbers.

- Should be familiar to data management principles and practices including metadata management, data quality assessment and data access technologies.

- Strong data handling, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to process large volume of transaction level data and efficiently derive actionable results.

- Good management & communication skills while working with both internal and external partners.

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity

- Skilled in data analysis

- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
