AVP - Business Analyst - Peoplesoft GL - Finance Change Management

We have a job opening for Business analyst - PeopleSoft - Financial change management department in Pune.

Requirement -

- Comfortable with PeopleSoft - GL module

- Experience in accounting, or has a good understanding of financial accounting as per US gaap/ IFRS

- Business analysis, functional specification documentation & Project implementation exposure.

- Qualification must be MBA(Finance)/CA/ICWA/CPA/ACCA

The Department:

Aims to deliver strategic initiatives using leading project management and business analysis as we pursue our goal of protecting and enhancing shareholder value through optimizing the use of our financial resources.

The Project:

The Accounting Policies project is driven by changes to the following US GAAP and IFRS accounting policies:

- Revenue Recognition (US GAAP ASU 2014-09 and IFRS 15

- Classification & Measurement (US GAAP ASU 2016-01 and IFRS 9)

- Leasing (US GAAP ASU 2016-02 and IFRS 16)

The projects aim to implement the required system and process changes to gather, process and report the required data for the accounting disclosures published in various financial statements (Company's and multiple standalone subsidiaries and head office reporting).

Desirable skills -

- To work as a project stream lead for one of the work streams of the Accounting Policies project

- Responsible for managing and participating in gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for future solutions, where required

- Manage and support preparation of functional specifications and use cases for the delivery of the business requirements

- Manage and support preparation of test plans, test cases, and co-ordination with users and IT during testing phase

- Preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required

- Experience in accounting, or has a good understanding of financial accounting or has worked extensively with users in this area in a project environment

- Experience in leading junior resources

- Experience in problem solving in collaboration with end users

- Strong analytical skills

- PeopleSoft GL experience

- Advanced Excel user

- PeopleSoft certifications

- MBA(Finance)/CA/ICWA/CPA/ACCA
