Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role) In Global Banking and Markets, client onboarding lifecycle management is crucial for acting on the responsibility to detect, deter and protect against financial crime. To more effectively improve the end-to-end process, Client Management Group, Client Data Services and Documentation Operations have now come together to form a new team called Global Banking and Markets Client Operations. Specifically, Client Operations will help improve the client onboarding experience, increasing the capacity of Relationship Managers to focus on new business opportunities. It will continue to meet all regulatory deadlines and financial crime compliance standards, while improving the ability to onboard new clients. The Client operations change team will partner and support the business strategy. The purpose of this role is to successfully execute the bank's strategic change initiatives for the Client Operations business. The Business Analyst will support the delivery of strategic change programmes working closely with the project team. Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas Impact on the Business - Understand customer needs and the business environment and translate into business requirements - Follow the requirements gathering and analysis process using Business Transformation Framework methodology and Client Operations change best practices - Ensure all requirements are aligned to strategic data models and operating model and all exceptions are duly recorded and ratified. - Supports the programme management with impact assessment for change requests on design, scope, time, budget or effort on programme plan and provides accurate estimates for handling new requirements, design changes and scope - Ensure all requirements have suitable benefits associated with it and full traceability on ownership of requirement and success criteria for each requirement - Maintain a strong understanding of industry, regulatory and customer needs and apply this knowledge to all change activity to ensure appropriate solutions are developed and delivered. - Perform in-depth impact assessment of proposed changes on processes, data and systems and formally document - Plan and schedule project activities aligned with the project plan and ensure timely completion of milestones. All risks associated with project plan should be escalated and documented in a timely fashion.
