Role: AVP - Business Analyst

Domain Knowledge required: Any of the following:

Capital Market, Derivatives, Regulatory Reporting, Market Risk, Credit Risk, VAR, Liquidity Reporting, Capital Calculation, Risk Modelling, trading products (equities, fixed income, repos, FX, OTC and exchange traded derivatives, loans, money markets etc)

Job Description:

Use Business Analysis tools and techniques to capture and clearly articulate the as-is business processes, identify problems and inefficiencies and define business requirements for process improvements

1. Serve as a liaison with managers of line functions to identify, define and accurately document business requirements following best practice

2. Manage requirements and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that requirements are delivered as specified, and change impact assessments can be made

3. Communicates clearly with all stakeholders and demonstrates an understanding of business processes and related issues. Develops multiple solutions options and can convey the merits and issues of each to ensure clear understanding of impact across the organization

4. Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for integration, functional, performance and user acceptance testing

5. Identify, manage and escalate where appropriate project risks and issues associated to requirements gathering, analysis and design

6. Design training and support documentation for new projects

7. Ensure compliance with established guidelines for accurate and timely project delivery milestones

8. Understand the Finance architecture and able to co-relate with the business requirements

9. Develop relation and work closely with global PC/FA team and IT Business partners

10. Ready to be involved in execution of various initiatives planned as part of the Book of work

Desired Profile:

1. Domain knowledge/ experience

2. Change experience in above is preferred, however BAU/ line experience with change exposure is also fine

3. If with change experience, it should as a Business Analyst in an SDLC environment (that is, should have acted as a bridge between Finance users and IT in a systems project), and not as a project manager or in a non-SDLC oriented change project

4. As a business analyst or as an end user, should have been involved in functional testing and should be willing to be involved in functional testing in this role as well

5. A decent understanding of the various investment bank trading products (equities, fixed income, repos, FX, OTC and exchange traded derivatives, loans, money markets etc) and the accounting related to these products is needed

6. Need to have some basic technical capabilities, that is ability to understand data flows, table structures and running SQLs
