AVP - Big Data Analytics - Investment Bank

We have openings for AVP-BIG DATA Analytics with one of the leading investment banks in Mumbai.

Core Responsibilities:

Conceptualizing & executing various Risk Management Big Data initiatives across all Retail Services portfolios. Exploring new Big Data tools and techniques to optimize Risk strategies and to develop the relevant skill pool within Retail Services Risk team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- The candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing Big Data ideas and initiatives designed to achieve business growth & loss mitigation goals.

- Must have capability to clearly communicate analyses.

- Presentations to both technical and non-technical personnel are required to be made frequently as part of the job.

- Ability to work efficiently in a matrix environment balancing between both business and functional interactions and priorities.

Skills:

1. Hands-on exposure of working with the Big Data stack: Hadoop MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Impala, HBase, Mahout, Spark, Storm

2. Strong programming skills in Python/R/Java

3. Enterprise experience of working with:

- Machine Learning algorithms, and/or

- Text Mining, and/or

- Graph Theory

4. Good understanding of the digital landscape and what information could be used for risk optimization
