AVP - Analytics – VC funded contrarian direct response catalog/e-retail firm

We are looking for a young, talented MBA graduate to come aboard the core team of one of India's fastest growing multi-channel retail companies with a contrarian approach. We need an individual who is creative, looks beyond the numbers, and can implement the strategies that evolve from this analysis. This company has distinguished itself from the regular e-commerce herd by creating a unique business model that goes over and beyond the internet to reach urban and semi-urban customers. Our approach is to win over the vast majority of the customers that are not culturally and otherwise ready for e-commerce, but would still like to enjoy the benefits offered by e-commerce. The Company was founded by a successful serial entrepreneur who has the experience of building and selling one of India’s first customer loyalty management companies, and has founded a successful mail-order company in the US.

The company has already been funded by a prominent early-stage VC fund, and is all set to ramp up. We believe this is a highly unique opportunity for a young analytics professional to come on board because

Your responsibilities would include:

- Bring an analytical approach to strategic planning and business decision making process

- Implement best practices, and develop specific action plans for the constant improvement to all areas of the Sales channel.

- Proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve the customer conversion in order to further profitability and growth.

- Improve the performance of the Company by analyzing data and generating insights on customer segmentation and targeting, merchandising, product placements, creative placements, and up-sell/cross-sell affinities to ensure best merchandise presentations and to increase average order value.

- Develop and manage key performance metrics to measure and improve the Company’s performance.

- Drive these efforts and present findings to management and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Must have 1-3 years’ of work experience with strong excel skills. (VBA knowledge is an added bonus)

- An MBA from the top the top tier B - School

- Analytical/logical bent of mind

- Entrepreneurial instinct with results driven approach

- Good communication skills
