Location: Bangalore

Job Title: Asst. Vice President

Function: Marketing Analytics

Travel: Yes, short term, possibly frequent

Summary of Role/Profile:

- What is the focus of the function? To provide consulting and solutions support in the financial services consumer finance/retail banking marketing analytics space, refine current Organization offerings in this space, provide expert inputs and support in the sales cycle, lead initial proof of concept/pilot projects and facilitate entry into new and existing clients.

- To build and execute the short, medium and long term strategy of building new capabilities in marketing analytics by partnering and building new technology enabled analytical products and solutions for the Banking Industry

- Why does this job exist? To help drive revenue growth in the retail finance and banking marketing analytics for Organization

- How does the role add value? By enhancing Organization’s current offerings in this space, and ultimately contributing to revenue growth

- How is this role unique from others? This role is unique in that it requires creativity, thought leadership and strong execution skills to create and help sell differentiated solutions in the area of marketing by blending together existing capabilities and bringing on new technology partners and vendors. This role has a substantial consulting component and requires during the sales cycle.

- Who are the key relationships for this role? Chief Marketing Officers, Marketing Managers of Banks and Consumer finance, Telecommunications companies

What are the key initiatives and challenges facing this role in the next six months to three years?

- Enable sales support as the subject matter expert and help drive conversions

- Refining current capabilities, oversee or drive assessments, provide advice to projects being executed

- Build the road map for new products and solutions that seamlessly integrate technology and analytical capabilities. Identify gaps and help build/buy/partner with the right providers

Specific Competence (Essential)

- At least 2 years of Experience in onsite Consulting/ Solutioning role

- Ability to make sense of ambiguity, uncertain problems and unstructured environment

- Ability to take charge and influence the ecosystem around him/ her

- Excellent communication and executive presence

- Ability to think strategically, understand new trends in the market

- Commercially Savvy

- Ability to influence multiple internal stakeholders

- Ability to built deep client partnerships

Specific Competence (Desirable)

- Exposure to IT/Technology

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Knowledge, Experience and Education

External and Internal Contacts

1) Develop new/ refine existing solutions in the area of consumer marketing analytics that can be taken to market

2) Support onsite sales and account management teams as Marketing Analytics SME in the sales cycle and help increase the conversion for new wins

3) Build and execute the Product strategy of building new capabilities in marketing analytics by partnering and building new technology enabled analytical products and solutions

4) Driving commercial discussions and supporting RFP responses for new client proposals

5) Provide oversight to new pilots/proof of concept projects

6) Help existing teams enhance capabilities by providing expert inputs as required

Essential

1) 10 to 15 years of analytics experience, primarily in the one or both of the areas of consumer finance/ retail banking marketing analytics in the areas listed below:

Account acquisition analytics:

- Response models, acquisition strategy, campaign management, channel strategy, pricing analytics, sales force effectiveness

Account Management analytics:

- Response behaviour models, Customer segmentation, attrition/retention models, Pricing strategies, Cross sell analytics

- Balance transfer, Reward points optimization, Profitability Analysis, Dealer segmentation

2) Excellent communication and client interface skills.

3) Knowledge of analytical tools such as SAS, SPSS, Segmentation tools
