JOB DESCRIPTION: - Apply economic/business principles, recognize subtleties of complex problems, and develop innovative solutions and strategic insights, driven or supported by data - Work with multiple sources of (banking-related) data, integrating fact-bases and assumptions in order to develop complex financial and operational models - Develop and deliver strategic studies, market reviews, business cases and business plan based on robust quantitative/data analysis in support of strategic initiatives and business objectives - Responsible for project planning, project execution including independent client interface and team management. - Develop and demonstrate expertise in the banking industry / geography / offering and support/perform research, quantitative analysis and interviewing, create work plans, ensure adherence to timelines, 'manage' clients, conceptualize strategic solutions with limited guidance from seniors, update superiors on project progress, and guide other team members. - Analytical Support: Structure analyses- including defining logic, business rules and assumptions- needed to drive business decisions. Deliver analyses employing a variety of business applications (MS Excel, SQL Server, etc.) and business intelligence tools (Business Objects, Diver, Data Warehouse, etc.) to identify, extract and analyze data. - Conduct ad-hoc and ongoing research projects related to strategic initiatives - Support team members with analytical and data support as needed - Organize, analyze, synthesize and/or summarize data and information using appropriate quantitative and qualitative techniques REQUIREMENT: 1. Strong research, analytical, and quantitative aptitude 2. Strong knowledge or familiarity with core consulting/strategy/analytical frameworks. 3. Team player and excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively as part of a team and to take part in professional discussions with senior business leaders. Should be a quick learner in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 4. Practical experience building financial, statistical, and other analytical models to evaluate complex data to achieve desired business objective 5. Possess critical thinking capabilities and analytical / problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable interpreting and manipulating large amounts of data. 6. Experience of primary and secondary research 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to tell a story with data. 8. Entrepreneurial instincts with a positive mind set to deliver client results 9. Comfortable in using business applications (like MS-PowerPoint and MS-Excel)
