TITLE : Researcher

BUSINESS UNIT - Insights Practice, Investment Banking, Digital & Technology

JOB PURPOSE

- Responsible for building insights on future trends in the Digital & Technology (D&T) space in India & globally

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Research & opinion building:

- Staying updated on the latest news & research from the digital & technology space globally, in India & in other leading markets

- Building opinions/point of view on expectations, underlying patterns and emerging drivers/challenges for growth in different segments of the industry (e.g. e- tailing, digital content & services, payment platforms, etc)

- Collecting relevant secondary research & data to substantiate point of view and building a coherent logical data driven argument

- Building evaluation & analytical models to help understand & forecast trends

Writing & execution:

- Writing research whitepapers, articles/blogs, reports, etc covering one or all segments of the industry

- Participating in in- depths & discussions with industry leaders, investors and deal teams to validate hypotheses as needed

- Define creative/intuitive ways of representing analyses & data graphically

- Work with vendors to execute as needed

- Maintaining Databases and Technology Infrastructure

- Designing and maintaining internal knowledge bases

- Working with vendors/internal technology teams as needed, on data infrastructure, web platform design, etc. -

KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

- Post Graduate from Tier 1 B- School, OR

- Tier 1 Engineering Colleges with 1- 3 years- experience, OR

- Top tier colleges (Economics, Journalism, Maths) with 1- 3 years- experience

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED (IF ANY)

- Excellent logical and analytical skills

- Excellent reading habits & interest in D&T sector

- Attention to detail, willingness to stretch

- Good writing skills

- Ability to go beyond the obvious

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE ROLE

- Exposure to D&T vertical trends, updates & ability to build and express a POV on where industry is headed, to the key players in this ecosystem

- Interaction with potential opinion leaders in this space, exposure to networking events & seminars
