Avendus Wealth - Associate, Private Markets Team As part of the Private Markets team at Avendus Wealth Management, the individual would be responsible for investment opportunities in the unlisted space, which includes primarily 3rd Party Funds/ AIFs across categories (PE,VC, Structured Credit, Venture Debt, Special Situations) and direct unlisted equity investments. This entails end to end involvement in the lifecycle of the investment opportunity, including the following steps (each of which is summarized below). Identification & evaluation of opportunities and assessment of its suitability for clients: - Understanding of the opportunities and doing preliminary shortlisting - Detailed analysis of shortlisted opportunities: - Past track record/ financials - Team capabilities - Competitive benchmarking - Reference checks - Investment terms and its structuring - Investment rationale - Potential risks - Preparation of investment note/ any other documents to be presented to internal Investment Committee (IC) Supporting the Fund team and internal Client Relations team in discussing & marketing the opportunities to relevant clients (UHNIs and Family Offices): - Preparation of marketing materials - Educating internal Client Relations team (RMs) on the product and resolving their queries - Tracking of outreach & meetings with potential investors - Meetings/ calls with potential investors to discuss the opportunity - Resolving client queries Overseeing the Structuring, Documentation & closure process: - Preparation of investor term sheet - Understanding and negotiation of fund/ deal documents - Tracking of documentation closure and supporting internal team for same wherever required for timely closure Monitoring of the completed investments till their exit: - Work with the funds/companies as investor representative to conduct regular monitoring of all products done in the past and identification of any potential risks - Preparation of updates for clients by regular interaction with funds/ companies - Resolution of any queries from clients or internal team - Doing portfolio review calls & meetings with Investors
