Authorized Officer - Valuation Controller (Rates ? Equity / Fixed income / Derivatives Valuation )

For this role, We want candidates with programming experience preferably in automation using Python/VBA. Ideally someone with a education in quantitative field (financial engineering, Maths, Stat, ) with some experience in control functions like IPV or product experience in non-linear IPV

- Independently verify the valuation of the Bank's Rates / Equity / Fixed Income derivative and other trading portfolios

- Independently verify the valuation of the Bank's collateral positions

- Ensure that appropriate reserves are calculated given the nature and risks of the portfolio

- Report on the accuracy of reserves and valuations to senior management

- Develop improved testing and analysis processes, based on understanding of the business and positions

- Review and management any work performed by a 3rd party strategic partner.

- Will be integral to the identification and resolution of global valuation related issues ranging from those originating within the Organization and from external regulatory bodies.

- Build strong working relationships within all key areas within the organization, including the trading desks, trade support and business unit controllers

Additional requirements

The candidate must at least have conceptual knowledge of derivative products / structures and payoffs along with behavior of the various parameters that drive valuations. In the absence of relevant work experience, strong academic knowledge in these areas can also be considered so long as the candidate can demonstrate their ability to explain the key concepts during the

- Your team :

The role will be in the Valuations team based in Mumbai and functionally support Equity / Fixed income Valuation Control teams globally.

India team will jointly work with Onshore to execute processes while Onshore will perform final review of the work.

- Your experience and skills :

You have:

- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Finance/ Engineering/ Mathematics from an institute of repute.

- Strong analytical skills demonstrated by Maths / science qualifications

- Aptitude for computing applications, including Excel, VBA and Access

- Experience in financial derivatives, preferably Equities/IPV

- Strong understanding of basic concepts of pricing derivatives and risks associated

- Knowledge of Cash equities and Equity / fixed income derivative products
