AU Small Finance Bank - Cluster Credit Manager - Working Capital

Job Purpose :

Qualification : Chartered Accountant/CMA/MBA

Relevent Experience : 4+ years of credit experience and experience with credit scoring systems preferred.

Functional Compentencies : Accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

- Have a thorough knowledge of credit-related laws.

- Be willing to periodically travel to customer sites.

- Have considerable experience with customer negotiations.

- Works in a fast-paced office environment.

- Expected to travel to customer locations on short notice to conduct negotiations.

- Occasional overtime may be necessary.

Job Responsiblities :

Financial Responsibilities :

- Responsible for mainitaining the quality of the portfolio, by maintaining the desired delinquency levels as defined in the budget

- Should maintain the credit costs and budget for credit as decided

Non Financial Responsibilities :

- Manage a region for credit underwriting with the help of Credit Managers

- Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives

- Properly motivate the credit and collections staff

- To train the Credit Managers adequately to perform their tasks

- Should possess a good understanding of SME space and business cycles. Should have good analytical skills

- Recommend changes in the credit policy to senior management, if required

- Create a credit scoring model after analyzing the segment

- Manage customer credit files

- Should travel extensively to various locations being managed by him/her. Should travel for a minimum of 10 working days in a month.

- Should ensure all important clients across his regions is met up personally.

- Monitor the credit granting and updating process

- Personally investigate the largest customer credit applications

- Monitor periodic credit reviews

- To pass on good practices and learnings of various locations managed, across the region

- Recommend changed to the Product team on the basis of on ground credit underwriting experience

- Measure department performance with appropriate metrics

- To ensure delinquency levels are totally in control and in line with the budget

- Manage relations with collection agencies. To personally get involved in collections, if required.

- Manage relations with credit reporting agencies

- Manage relations with credit insurance providers

- Manage relations with the sales department

- Should have a good network in the credit fraternity to be updated on latest industry trends and risks

- Maintain the corporate credit policy
