# What we're looking for

We are looking for a Government Relations Head to join our team and help us navigate the complex landscape of government procurement and contracting.

The Government Relations Head will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels. They will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute a government sales strategy that drives growth and revenue. The ideal candidate will have prior experience selling to governments and a background working at VFS or BLS.

# Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a government sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall growth goals

- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels

- Identify new opportunities for government procurement and contracting, including responding to RFPs and RFQs

- Collaborate with the executive team to develop compelling proposals and presentations for government clients

- Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and requirements

- Monitor and analyze government procurement trends and policies, and provide regular updates to the executive team

- Represent the company at government events and conferences, and build relationships with key stakeholders in the government sector

# Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in government sales or government relations, with a track record of success in selling to government agencies

- Prior experience working at VFS or BLS strongly preferred

- Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and regulations

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with government stakeholders

- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to adapt to changing priorities

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify new opportunities for growth

- Passion for the company's mission and values, with a desire to make a meaningful impact
