Job title: Head of International Assignment Operations, HR Centre  Reports to: Group Reward Director, dotted line to HRD APAC  Role Description  - A key strategic role responsible for establishing and leading a newly created International Assignment Operations Team within the Atkins HR centre, based in Bengaluru, India.  - The International Assignment Operations Team will lead the delivery of operational excellence, efficient and effective global IA process management and a great customer experience for all Atkins international assignees on a worldwide basis.  - In addition to the above role, the person will also be responsible for managing APAC mobility as consultant and advisor to business leaders and HRBPs on IA matters.  Primary Responsibilities:   - Establish, manage and develop an International Assignment Operations Team, driving high performance, promoting employee engagement and contributing to Atkins strategic HR objectives.  - Lead the International Assignment Operations Team to deliver all assignment operational activities relating to assignment activities, ongoing assignment management and repatriation of Atkins internationally mobile staff.  - Build trusted relationships with Sector and Group International Assignment resources (based geographically) to ensure effective collaboration so that workflows, hand-offs, procedures and processes are established and delivered seamlessly.  - Drive the highest possible level of customer service, acting as a role model to the team to respond proactively and communicate effectively with all Atkins stakeholders including assignees, line managers, team members and colleagues from the broader International Assignment community.  - Establish and monitor team performance metrics and Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards, including cost and client satisfaction measures.  - Develop processes and procedures within the International Assignment Operations Team to maximize productivity, deliver customer satisfaction and ensure consistent service delivery, leveraging technology where appropriate.  - Recommend and implement new operational processes in leading the team to meet customer quality and delivery expectations.  - Act as a client advocate and problem-solver/subject matter expert to resolve more complex assignee issues and operational questions, escalated from the International Mobility operations team.  - Collaborate with and support other HR Centre managers to ensure best practices are shared, staffing requirements are met, and overall Atkins goals are achieved.  - Participate as a key member of the Atkins Group reward team and contribute to the development and achievement of group reward strategic goals and objectives.  Key Skills, Qualifications:   - Significant experience in an operational leadership role within a sophisticated International Mobility environment for a multinational company  - A well-developed technical understanding of the key concepts of international mobility, such as tax, expat payroll, immigration, assignment packages and benefits etc. based on experience of having applied these across a range of international markets which should include EMEA, Americas & Asia Pacific.  - Proven people management experience and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in an operational environment and in support of operational goals   - Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical subjects in a clear, engaging and effective way   - Sophisticated influencing skills, with particular evidence of establishing relationships and influencing stakeholders from other cultures and geographic locations whilst working in different offices and time zones.   - The ability and motivation to drive performance and work under minimal direction, with flexibility/ability to work across global time zones.
