International experience in South Asia and Sub-saharan Africa would be preferred. At Athena, he/she would take on the responsibility of managing associates / consultants and deliver high-quality research based consulting/advisory outputs. Additionally, the applicant should be able to thrive in a dynamic/fast evolving setting. Willingness to take initiative and passion for making a positive dent in the development policy domain are essential for this role.  Title: Senior Consultant - Education & Skills  Desired Profile  Requirements/Qualifications:   Post Graduate with relevant qualifications.  At least 5 years of business development support experience preferably in selling and managing projects that include aspects such as Market Research / Market Intelligence/ Investment Research/ Impact Measurement   Possess in depth knowledge of sectors like Education & Skills, in areas such as school education, higher education, skill development, labour and employment etc.  Structured thinking and project based decision making skills  Excellent oral & written communication skills  Excellent proposal development skills  Excellent client management skills  Wide network in public and private sector especially in the education and skills domain  Demonstrated interest in Public Policy or Development issues   Description:  Responsible for expanding the client base in domestic / International market   Work closely with the research team to develop product and thought leadership ideas  Interact with key decision makers across multi/bi-lateral organizations, private sector, Governments, donor agencies etc.  Project Management for one or more projects at any time  Participate in BD review meetings and prepare requisite periodical reports for management review  Represent Athena at events and conferences, both nationally and internationally.  The strongest applicants will have a demonstrated interest in analyzing public policy or development issues and wish to pursue a rapid growth career in development consulting. He/She would have a strong understanding of the various development programmes in Education and Skills at the Central and State levels.
