Job Description : Summary Of The Role : This position is based in Mumbai and will report to the Director of the company. As a Financial Controller you will be managing and maintaining all aspects of the finance function and its staff, by coordinating, initiating and following up on processes and practices to ensure that accounting books and records are properly maintained and that adequate, accurate and timely information is provided, and requirements and standards are met. Our Company is in Travel Business and has operations in India, Singapore, Philippines and the UK. You will be responsible for the Accounting and Finance function for the entire operations. Roles & Responsibilities : - Develop and implement financial reporting and control systems to facilitate strong finance business partnering in accordance with the company's guidelines and financial policy - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls - Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances - Analyze the company's financial results on a monthly basis with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to executive leadership to guide effective policy-making and financial strategising - Oversee the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers - Lead the team members responsible for accounting, payroll, direct and indirect tax processes - Preparing and Monitoring Budgets, Receivables, Credit Controls, MIS and Reconciliation reports - Managing and supervising the overall accounting and finance function - Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings on a periodic basis - Prepare Accounts and Financials as per prevalent Accounting and Reporting Standards - Support month-end and year-end financial preparation including Consolidation What You Must Have : - Qualification:- CA (Chartered Accountant) / CPA / CMA - Years of Experience :- Minimum 5-6 years in Accounting, Finance, Internal control, Audit - Master's degree in Finance area would be an add-on - Good working knowledge of IFRS Accounting, Indian GAAP and Tax Laws - Well well-versed with advanced Excel and macros is a must - The capability to turn complex data into logical formats. - Excellent presentation and communication skills - Demonstrate positivity, approachability and have an investigative nature. - Be capable of managing the work of others and delegating where needed - Experience in digital transformation/ automation will be an added advantage Desired Personal Qualities : - Initiative & Responsibility : Acts on own initiative, makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results. - Bottom-line focus : Focuses on bottom-line results, identifies potential risks and monitors the financial impact of own activities. - Influence : Makes an impact; convinces and persuades others; promotes plans and ideas successfully. - Analysis & Judgment : Quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments. - Constructive Teamwork : Co-operates well with others; shares knowledge, experience and information; supports others in the pursuit of team goals. - Effective Communication : communicates in a clear, precise and structured way; speaks with authority and conviction; presents effectively.
