AstraZeneca - PCT Logistics Manager

Introduction to Role:

Join us at AstraZeneca as a PCT Logistics Manager, where you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for establishing and maintaining global standards and processes for the transportation and storage of all our pharmaceutical products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide leadership to our Logistics Specialist and Logistic Analyst teams, and support strategic and tactical initiatives within GLF and the PCT team.

Accountabilities:

As a PCT Logistics Manager, you will lead, develop, and coach a team of Logistics Specialists and Logistic Analysts to ensure successful operations and project outcomes. You will provide tactical and operational leadership, fostering a Lean culture of continuous improvement.

You will also be responsible for team development, recruitment, and management in accordance with HR policy. Additionally, you will lead and/or support the PCT team's input into GLF projects and initiatives, work collaboratively with counterparts in global locations, and actively participate in the PCT Centre of Excellence.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- A minimum of 5 years prior experience in logistics and distribution from a multi- plant/multi-distribution centre environment

- Proven analytic skills

- Innovative problem-solving/investigational skills

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Sound understanding of Good Distribution Practices (5yrs experience), Safety, Health and Environment, and Standard Operating Procedures

- Experience in assessing risk in transportation lanes

- Fluency in English

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Management Science or other relevant discipline

- Extensive experience in technical support and quality management

- Understanding of transport qualification, process validation, cold chain logistics industry standards, and validation compliance

- Pharmaceutical/Bio pharmaceutical experience

- Good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry

- Experience in Business Process Management processes
