WM GPS Business Insights Associate

- These include wealth planning over generations and international borders, asset management with individual risk management, loans and deposits as well as the development of bespoke solutions for individuals or selected institutions in close collaboration with experts in Investment Banking and Asset Management.

- The role is part of a desk extension team reporting into the WM GPS CFO/Business Insights team in London. In addition, the successful applicant will have a local reporting line in Mumbai.

Key responsibilities:

- Revenue, Cost and Resource Management (People and Financial) requiring specific analysis and strategic presentations

- Revenue and Cost Management

- Assist with the global and regional (APAC;GY;Americas;EMEA) cost dashboards, MRM, Council & Management exco processes (GPS specific) providing transparency for the CFO and Management team to achieve financial targets and maintain a sharp cost discipline

- Assist with the build out of Europe as a combined reporting region (EMEA + GY)

- Assist with the build out of the myriad changes in the GPS business team from a cost and functional business perspective

- Understand driver based cost management and apply it to improved cost discipline

- Oversee the flash and forecast processes, including relevant explains, interacting with the regional GPS COO's and business heads where required

- Build up improved revenue reporting through understanding appropriate revenue drivers and increased interaction with the 4 regions particularly the regional CFO teams

- Complete planning process every year for both cost and revenue, ensure interlock with each regional revenue target through necessary explains at the driver level

- Resource Management

- Assist with the resource management review / approval processes for the Global GPS organization (spanning multiple jurisdictions and countries), to ensure critical hires are deployed efficiently to support the development of the business and the core business strategies. Work closely with CAO and GPS strategy chief of staff on these joint responsibilities

- Assist with the RTB review and ad-hoc deep dives of the monthly GPS Balance sheet CRD4 and RWA targets. Understand the topics raised in the monthly independent WM Global Valuation Council meetings

- Project Manage various Cost and Resource Management related activities including regulatory programme reporting where applicable

- Other CFO/Business Insights tasks as necessary

You will have:

- Experience in Accountancy or Management Consulting

- Aptitude for analytical tasks

- Good knowledge of the financial sector

- Strong communication skills with excellent English, both oral and written
