About the department:

Underwriting - HNI department assesses risks of the customers having high net-worth and classifies them into different classes. (Financial, Medical, Occupational, etc.) It is also responsible to decide the terms and conditions related to risks in order to ensure efficient onboarding of the accurate customers in the organization.

Purpose of the Job:

As a AVP, the role involves managing a team, managing a channel and monitoring audits within the department. It includes handling complaints, ensuring quality checks on the processed data and ensuring implementation of regulatory norms and guidelines throughout the department. (IRDA, AML, etc.)

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ensuring process completion as per pre-defined TAT and Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs).

- Underwriting of cases as per TAT and achieving daily target.

- Managing sales channels.

- Handling cross functional departmental activities.

- Conducting various product and system test to ensure customer satisfaction.

- Processing the cases to ensure smooth flow of departmental activities.

- Handling customer data to ensure process completion.

- Maintaining & managing MIS data as per pre-defined guidelines.

- Handling Customer Escalation & minimizing customer Complaints.

- Ensuring timely audit and compliance of all legal and regulatory norms.

- Identifying the gaps and implementing changes for overall process improvement.

- Managing reinsurance cases

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Educational Qualification: Minimum Graduate/ Post Graduate.

- Work Experience - 10-years+ experience.

- Product and Process knowledge along with awareness of internal systems.

Required Skills:

- Leadership Skills - Analytical abilities. - Interpersonal skills. - MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and etc.) - Stakeholder Management.
