Role: Associate Vice President - Strategy Reporting to: Group Managing Director (MD) Client: Our Client is seasoned private equity and venture capital investor and has multiple investments across the USA, UK, Europe and South Asia primarily in real estate, hospitality, healthcare, venture capital and other emerging sectors. The Group invests through its proprietary capital and has a hands-on approach to its portfolio companies who all have their independent management teams. This role will be based in their New Delhi office and will require working closely with the Managing Director / Promoter of the group to manage different businesses across geographies. Role Description: 1. Attend weekly / monthly business update calls of various businesses in real estate, hospitality, healthcare, venture capital and other businesses located in the USA, UK, Europe and South Asia. 2. Tracking key milestones of various businesses / ongoing projects and monitor them closely. Red flag all potential risks in advance which can lead to delay in achieving key financial and operating milestones for any entity. 3. Do independent research in the sectors where Group already has an investment to track new entrants, emerging trends, competition, new products etc and regularly update MD on such important developments which can either create disruption to its existing business or create new investment opportunities for the group. 4. Analyze all new investment proposals could be in the sectors where Group operate or in new sectors which it plans to enter. Once investment decisions are taken, closely work with consultants and management teams to create investment structures, arrange for drawdown, and complete all necessary agreements and internal &amp; external compliances related to investment / transaction. 5. Research on emerging sectors and create detailed business plans and financial models to propose investments to the Investment Committee. 6. Will require working along with government departments at the central / state / local level to understand the policy framework and opportunities in different sectors. 7. Become a central depositary of all information that is required across different businesses, so it is easy to coordinate and enable different businesses on new projects. 8. Document meetings and keep project/business tracker updated. Update MD before every meeting on key points to discuss. 9. Compile data from different businesses and prepare presentations/email updates for the Board. Role Requirements: 1. 6 - 10 years work experience in real estate consulting division of Big 4 or consulting practice of leading International Property Consultants or strategy/business development experience with real estate developers. 2. Proven expertise in building relationships across divisions / departments / businesses without having any direct control over them. 3. Ability to look for potential issues at the portfolio level and also able to work on-ground with business to solve important problems. 4. Ability to bring multi-disciplinary teams across different portfolio companies and businesses together to create value for the investors. 5. Flexibility to work in different time zones in India and UK. 6. Proven experience of understanding government policy framework, rules and regulations that guide foreign investments and development and operations in real estate, hospitality, healthcare, venture capital etc. in various countries. 7. Excellent writing and presentation skills (non-negotiable). 8. Travel required: 10 - 20% (within India or International) 9. MBA finance from a reputed business school in India.
