Associate - US Sales & Use Tax

Skills and Attributes for Success:

- Perform a thorough analysis of the Returns and their workings with accuracy.

- Preparation of Assets Listing and Property Tax Returns.

- Data retrieval and Reconciliation of the returns with respective ERP (Oracle, SAP) & Vertex.

- Preparing and Reviewing Sales & Use tax returns.

- Performing a detailed technical review of state and local indirect tax returns on engagements.

- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflow.

- Monthly updates and review of the Tax Applicability.

- Research and respond to sales & use tax questions with prompt and accurate replies.

- Helping to develop and manage client relationships.

- Reviewing client's current tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide enhancements to improve the client's procedures and reduce tax exposure.

- Working with the client's information technology personnel to obtain data in historical purchasing and sales to analyze for reporting requirements, audit procedures, and review for potential refund or credits.

- Assisting the client with evaluating sales/use tax software systems that meet their compliance needs and support the implementation process.

- Review and provide quality control on transaction calculations, partner economics, tax distributions and other event throughout the partnership lifecycle.

- Implement standard technology and processes while applying tax technical knowledge to client facts.

- Assisting with the drafting of internal and external articles about existing and emerging SALT topics as needed.

- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Min. 2-3 Years of Experience required.

- Must have worked in Property Tax and US Sales & Use Tax.

- Post Graduation in Accounting/ MBA from a recognized University

- Working knowledge for Returns preparation in compliance software with good accounting concepts.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
