These include rural & urban micro finance institutions, retail NBFCs, and housing finance companies. IFMR Capital connects these institutions with capital markets and investors such as banks, insurance companies, and mutual funds through financial tools such as securitization, credit enhancement and debt structuring.
Position: Associate - Treasury
The individual will be responsible for assisting the Head - Treasury with fund raising for both debt and equity funds towards ensuring that IFMR Capital has adequate funds at its disposal to meet business objectives. The position will be based in Chennai, India.
Key Responsibilities:
Raising Debt
- Build strong relationships with existing and future lenders, especially with public sector banks. Develop a database and strong coverage in Chennai amongst local lenders at the GM level
- Appraise, ascertain and assist in raising debt from banking and non banking sectors including treasury, Mutual Fund, Pension Funds etc
- Track debt markets for pricing comparables with other issuers
Raising equity
- Prepare, gain agreement and compile a pitchbook for debt/equity
- Prepare comparables analysis and recommend options
- Prepare and present business plans, models & valuations to ALCO / Board
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA or a post graduate from a premier institute
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in raising capital for a bank / corporate / NBFC.
- Alternatively, minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate sales / wealth sales role with leading financial institutions
- Understanding of loans and capital market instruments. Ability and prior experience in interfacing with capital market investors
Skills Required:
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills- both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, self motivated individual having an ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting demands
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Intellectual curiosity, creativity and self-motivation
