OPENING IN Trade Finance/Letters Of Credit

Job Summary :

- To be part of a team, performing processing activities

- To follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the assigned Role

- To assist the Team Leader in all activities required to ensure the Service Delivery processing activities of the Team are completed within the SLA for that activity in terms of TAT, Volume and Quality

- To ensure that the risks involved in delivering the Service Delivery processing activities are monitored and mitigated

- Assist the Team Leader in mentoring and guiding Associates in the Team

- Assist the Team leader in solving day to day problems and the implementation of Continuous Improvement projects across the Team

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Perform a variety of day-to-day administrative and operational duties in the processing of the Team's Work as directed by the Team Leader

- Attend daily team huddle and performance board meetings, for being up-to-date with individual and team performance

- Apply 5S principles, to maintain an organized, clean and tidy physical and digital workspace (e.g. orderly workstation, well organized files, emails and network folders) that depicts professionalism at Nawat

- Ensure internal and statutory guidelines and procedures, as well as uniform rules & practices are strictly followed in order to protect Nawat's interest and that of its clients, and to avoid any criticism by internal or external auditors

- Identify and monitor actual and potential risk and take pro-active measures in order to control both Nawat's and its Clients- exposure while reviewing any processing documentation and ensure that all relevant details are congruent with a clean, fully completed customer application from inception of the transaction to final collection

- Review thoroughly all relevant transactions/applications to ensure there is no Money Laundering or breaching for any sanction before accommodating the transaction

- Respond to email/customer enquiries and answer their questions within the guidelines instructed by the Team Leader

- Ensure full up-to-date knowledge and understanding (at all times) of the structure of different service delivery products provided within the department and the relevant policies and procedures for such

- Ensure that work (Internal & External) is always dealt with in a respectful and professional manner that recognizes individual's choices, needs and rights and encourages a working relationship based on encouragement, motivation and support

- Cover other colleagues duties in their absence / leave

- To coach Associate team members on effective team work

- Responsible for attending the Nawat Management Toolkit training and applying the associated methodologies on a as required by the management

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

- Demonstrate compliance to organisation's values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the bank.

Continuous Improvement :

- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

- Assist the Team Lead in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions set to avoid any possible customer complaints.

- Assist the Team Lead in the implementation of new or revised operating procedures as part of continuous improvement within the production team or wider processing centre.

- Assist the Team Lead in designing and setting the new controls as a result of Audit comments and ensure their implementation.

Reporting :

- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies and quality standards.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications which include Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Good command of the English language

- Education Level: Minimum of Bachelors Degree from a recognized institute.

- Degree Preferences: Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management

- Ability to perform basic and higher mathematical calculations

- Ability to work as a team player and promote a cooperative work atmosphere

- Strong skills in performing data entry and word processing

- Strong ability in communication with diverse groups of people both verbal and Written

- Strong Reporting skills

- Efficient in problem solving

Required Experience: 1-4 YEARS full time professional experience in Letters of Credit/Trade Finance.
