Key Responsibilities:
Fluency with statistical theory and application of analytics to business problems
Understanding of descriptive and predictive analytics, data mining algorithms and big data concepts
Importing the data, cleaning, processing, analyzing and showcasing the data in the form of tables
Participate in the development of complex analysis designs using statistics
Implement algorithms and software needed to perform analysis
Perform machine learning, text analytics, and statistical analysis methods, such as classification, collaborative filtering, association rules, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, Predictive Modelling, time-series analysis, regression, statistical inference, and validation methods
Practical knowledge of statistical analysis software, e.g., SAS, and open source options like R, needed. Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tool (e.g. Qlickview and Tableau) experience is a strong plus. Knowledge of Python is a plus
Sharing the knowledge and information of analysis techniques with other staff and ability to train them, if needed
Skills / Education Requirement / Experience:
Business acumen, strategic orientation, client relationship building, and project management experience necessary with proven track record of making sound judgments backed by analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and critical business issues and drive to successful resolution
Strong communication (oral and written) and influencing skills
Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, challenge status quo and promote new solutions
Work requires continual and precise attention to detail
Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience in Life and Health insurance actuarial / financial / analytics capacity and/or consulting industry life and health insurance analytics practice
Undergraduate degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering or business required. MBA preferred
