General purpose of position:

This person would be responsible for defining, documenting and managing new products and features throughout the life cycle.

Major duties and responsibilities:

1. Assist senior management in the formulation of the company’s product strategy

2. Manage the product life-cycle for each product, from consumer insights through to launch and post-launch product improvements

3. Develop PRDs (product requirement documents) for each product

4. Conduct market research, surveys, and meetings with customers/prospects to understand market need, competition, etc. in coordination with the sales team

5. Work with design and engineering teams to develop innovative and breakthrough solutions with a strong focus on cost, quality and performance

6. Plan & deliver products which meet specified performance and cost criteria within development budget and timelines

Skills and abilities:

1. Highly entrepreneurial self-starter

2. Hands-on in defining objectives and producing deliverable in a fast-paced environment

3. Demonstrated experience managing the full product development life cycle, including product
conceptualization, patent assessment, product line development, costing, prototyping, PRD development

4. Ability to travel internationally to meet customers, technology partners, etc.

5. Strong blend of analytical, decision-making and creative problem solving skills

6. Excellent written and verbal English communication

Minimum Education and Experience:

1. Masters in Engineering/Science or Masters Management degree

2. 2-6 years of experience in product management, software business analysis or related field

3. Small business/ startup experience

4. Computer Science / EE degree

5. Created products for the legal domain
