Role: Associate -Private Equity

Location: Mumbai/Hyderabad

Reporting to : CEO

Position Description

The Associate will be an integral part of the organization, providing support to senior professionals in the following areas:

- Private Equity Fund Deployment: Working closely with the deal team, the Associate will assist or lead in the identification of target companies, perform industry and market research, conduct due diligence, draft investment memos, create detailed financial models, and participate in deal structuring

- Portfolio Company Monitoring: Under the supervision of the deal team, the Associate will monitor portfolio company's financial performance and key performance indicators, prepare quarterly reports on company performance, interact with portfolio company management, and conduct routine valuation assessments

- Financial Consulting : The Associate will assist or lead in financial modeling, industry and market research, due diligence, and creation of various reports

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with team to grow the private equity business by contributing in investment origination, execution, asset management and team talent development

- Support investment origination by conducting industry and company research, contributing to development of potential investment themes, identifying attractive investment targets, building sector knowledge and network over-time

- Work with team and support the development of investment thesis and risks

- Analysis of investment opportunities including financial modeling, valuation and return analysis

- Market and industry research

- Due diligence on companies, management, customers, competitors and industries

- Preparation of term sheets and letters of intent and review of transaction documentation

- Monitoring of select portfolio companies and quarterly portfolio valuation analysis

- Preparation of materials for Investment Committee, executive team, and others

Required Experience / Skills

- Preferred 1-3 years of experience in private equity

- Experienced in driving private equity investment, conducting complicated due diligence work, contributing to deal sourcing activities and working with company management effectively for value creations

- Must be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management

- Attention to detail is imperative

- Self-motivated and desire to work independently and alongside a small team of driven investment professionals, depending on the needs of the project

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage time
