Associate Manager/Manager - Valuation Control
- Working knowledge of the daily and NAV related valuation processes, related systems and pricers
- Independent resolution of valuation and P&L queries
- Review of NAV related valuation reconciliations
- Timely identification and escalation of relevant issues
- Manage the daily administrative activities of the team including leave planning, task allocation, task completion tracking and training
- Represent the valuations team while communicating with internal teams and external clients. Effective management of client expectations
- Implementation of valuation initiatives for the clients assigned
- Identify process improvements and system enhancements. Ability to draft BRDs
- Participation in UAT testing
- Maintain regular MIS relating to the clients assigned
- Accuracy in working with large amounts of data
Display :
- MBA - PGDBM (Finance)/ CA/ MCom/MA (Eco)/ MSc (Maths/ Stats)/ Graduate (BCom, BSc,BE) with CFA level II or FRM level II/ Graduate (Bcom, BSc, BE) with core experience in OTC Derivative back office valuation processes
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of financial products (which includes exchange traded, OTC Securities, OTC Derivatives, etc.) and valuation theory
- 3 - 6 years prior work experience in back office/ middle office setup
- Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Team player and proactive approach to taking on additional responsibilities
- Learning ability
- 0-1 year of limited team management experience (preferred)
- Experience in implementing projects/ participation in UAT and other development projects (preferred)
- Working knowledge and higher degree of proficiency in MS Excel functions and ability to work with large amounts of data (preferred)
- Exposure to dealing with senior management (preferred)
- Ability to work in shifts

- Application of knowledge relating to financial products including OTC derivatives, valuation processes, pricers and systems
- Accountability of the valuation process for the assigned clients (MIS, implementation of initiatives, awareness of the status of client issues)

- Adherence to policies, procedures, controls and deliverable timelines
- Should be able to effectively delegate and escalate issues or potential issues to the manager proactively
- Effective communication and expectation management with internal teams and external clients
- Ability to question processes, identify issues and suggest solutions to improve the valuation process
- Quality of training provided to team
- Quality of BRDs drafted and timely completion of UAT test scenarios by the team
