Associate/Manager - ESG - Private Equity/Venture Capital - Consulting Firm

We are looking for a smart and analytical self-starting team member to help us significantly grow our ESG business and help our clients advance their ESG agenda. We offer first-hand insights into Europe's venture capital and private equity industry and the opportunity to help drive growth in a young business line for us.

Who we are :

TK-Advisory is a London-based consulting group, which specializes in advising private equity and venture capital fund managers, as well as their current or potential portfolio companies on strategy, operations, marketing, and increasingly ESG. We were founded in 2019, and are currently a team of five, seeking to add our first dedicated ESG professional, to work with guidance from our Co-founder and Senior Advisor Katharina Neureiter.

The role:

There are three elements to the role :

1) Helping current and prospective private equity and venture capital clients to develop their ESG policies and metrics, and helping them engrain such policies and metrics in their investment and post-investment processes.

2) For companies, building out the right ESG policies and becoming an expert in ESG Ratings and Rankings (MSCI, Sustainalytics, S&P).

3) Helping us build our ESG franchise through business development activities, such as lead generation, pitching and client conversion.

Who are you?

You must be a self-starter, responsive, resilient, diligent and bring a significant amount of attention to detail. We expect you to be familiar with the core ESG topics, ESG policies and metrics, and have a baseline understanding how ESG ratings and rankings work. You must have prior experience of at least 1 to 3 years in the ESG space, and must have a strong passion for ESG- and Impact-related topics. Perfect email and telephone etiquette is required.

You love learning, creating and share our passion for success, service delivery and purpose. You should be enthusiastic, and willing to get stuck in.

You absolutely must have :

- Demonstrable prior experience in ESG, developing and implementing ESG policies for one or more companies;

- 1-2 years of research or consulting experience (any context);

- A want to succeed in a commercial environment;

- Motivation for business development and marketing;

- Self-motivated, show initiative and ability to work on your own, with minimal guidance;

- A team player with a positive attitude;

- Strong attention to detail;

- High level IT Skills;

- Remarkable email and communication skills with a confident and personable telephone manner; and

- An understanding of private equity and/or venture capital will be beneficial, although it is not a must-have.
