Our client is a 40 year old company that's a joint venture between a legacy Indian manufacturing group and a French aerospace manufacturer. The company is the largest manufacturer of certain hi-end aerospace components, supplying their products to ISRO, DRDO, HAL, and NAL in India; and exporting their products to global customers like Airbus, GE Aviation, Dassault, and Boeing. They have a 100,000 thousand square feet manufacturing plant in Bangalore.
As an Associate Manager Costing, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the cost accounting process and ensuring accurate financial records related to the production of goods.
What you need to do:
- Maintaining accurate books of accounts related to the utilization of materials, labor, and other cost items applicable to the production of goods.
- Taking charge of budget planning to ensure effective cost control and resource allocation.
- Handling product costing, including labor costing, to determine accurate product costs for pricing decisions.
- Participating in CAPEX planning activities to optimize capital expenditure in line with business objectives.
- Analyzing input-output impact and prepare variation reports to identify cost discrepancies and potential areas for improvement.
- Managing and overseeing all audits related to cost accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
- Utilizing knowledge of the FICO module and proficiency in SAP to handle cost accounting entries effectively.
- Preparing and presenting monthly costing Management Information System (MIS) reports to management for informed decision-making.
- Updating cost sheets and Material Hour Rate (MHR) records in SAP to reflect the most current and accurate information.
- Ensuring timely and accurate monthly cost variances updation to keep track of deviations from planned costs.
- Conducting monthly cost runs in SAP to capture all relevant cost data accurately.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to provide product cost sheets for customer quotations and support pricing strategies.
- Assisting the production team by providing cost sheets to analyze and optimize possible process flow reduction opportunities.
What you need to have:
- ICWA(CMA) is a must.
- Proven work experience in cost accounting and cost management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in SAP and experience with FICO module.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Prior experience in budget planning and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant cost accounting standards and audit rules
