Associate - Indirect Taxation - CA - Consulting Firm

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Drafting detailed opinions/presentations and devised tax efficient models from Indirect Tax perspective.

- Drafting detailed opinions on appropriate classification and taxability of goods/services from VAT/Service tax perspective.

- Conducting health checks covering checking of compliance and adherence to applicable Indirect tax legislations, classification, taxability, cenvat credit optimization etc. and preparation of detailed reports thereof.

- Assisting in conducting a detailed indirect tax review for clients.

- Preparing application for registration under VAT and Service tax legislations.

- Preparing Service tax and VAT returns under various state statutes.

- Preparing Service tax refund/rebate claims documents post verification of relevant documents.

- Coordinating with departmental authorities (VAT, Service tax).

- Drafting Proposals, Scope of Work and Engagement letters for various clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Qualified CA (Preferably 1st/ 2nd attempt)

- Good technical skills

- Minimum 1+ year of post qualification experience

- Experience in handling Indirect Taxation

- Ability to apply expertise in a consultative role

- Superior leadership ability

- Superior relationship building

- Presentation and public speaking

- Ability to analyse and think differently
