Top tier law firm is looking to hire a Indirect Direct associate for their Delhi office. This position entails rendering professional services in Indirect Tax (currently Service Tax, transitioning to GST) including Litigation Support, Advisory, and Compliance. The role would include : - Advice, plan, and support on 'Goods & Service Tax' including advising clients on transition planning & impact of such legislation & preparing them for the same. - Advisory assignments encompassing Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax, and Goods and Services Tax laws. - Planning & ensuring the end to end statutory compliance related to GST including preparation & filing of the returns - Coordination with the department for obtaining approvals, registrations, etc - Litigation matters before authorities at various levels including providing assistance to seniors. - Updated knowledge of Indirect Tax Legislations in India including mainly Goods & Service Tax
