Associate General Manager(Client Service Director) for Direct Marketing, Lead Generation, Demand Generation Adverting Agency -Bangalore-Banswadi
The ideal candidate will be someone from an event and/or direct marketing background- and specifically, someone who has wide exposure to IT/Technology marketing. Is comfortable working with large MNCs (has his contacts in place) and importantly, can build and lead a team of Account Managers- should be operationally hands-on and fairly conversant with on-ground execution realities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall growth and development of accounts in his group.
- Meeting profit goals on each account in his group.
- Maintaining a high level of performance by the account teams and other agency personnel, as needed.
- Being sufficiently informed and personally involved, ensuring sound planning, good service, and a solid client/agency relationship.
- Following agency policies and procedures.
- Keeping management informed of the status of his group's accounts, problems, plans, and meetings, as well as involving Management personnel at key times.
- Ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth, and profit goals are achieved.
- Provides account team leadership, and convey the specific requirements for multi-functional support to the appropriate functional regional management on a timely basis.
- Plans develop and defend budget recommendations, work goals, measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide both quality and profitable service to Clients.
- Assigns duties, goals, and supervises the account service staff for the assigned accounts.
- Executes duties and assignments as directed in compliance with corporate guidelines and objectives.
- Maintains awareness and controls situations which may lead to the risk of write-offs.
- Maintains open and complete communications of Client issues with functional leaders and corporate management.
- Provides leadership/motivation and conveys the vision and values of the Agency to the assigned staff. Ensures that the staff works in conformance with Agency policies and procedures and public law.
- Leading a team to provide the utmost level of client service
- Liaising with clients at a senior level on a day-to-day basis
- Promoting the expansion of business with existing clients
- Working with other senior managers to generate new accounts
- Management of staff in his/her team:
- Training and career development of staff
- Annual evaluations and monitoring of progress of staff under their management
SKILLS AND REQUISITES
- Management degree with 8+ years client service/management experience
- A strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and trade-offs to senior executives
- Strategic thinker who can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then execute on those plans
- Decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams in different regions and business units
- Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships
- Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
- Strong selling, persuasion and convincing skills
