Job Description:

- Our client, a leading institutional equity broker, is seeking an Equity Research Associate to cover Indian mid cap stocks.

- As an Equity Research Associate, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on Indian mid cap stocks, analyzing financial data and industry trends, building financial models, and making recommendations based on your research findings.

- You will be required to write comprehensive research reports that cover the analysis of data, earnings results, industry news, recommendations, and valuation models.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth analysis of Indian mid cap stocks, build financial models, and make recommendations based on the research findings.

- Write comprehensive research reports that cover the analysis of data, earnings results, industry news, recommendations, and valuation models.

- Conduct industry diligence and primary research through surveys, expert conference calls, and various channel checks to evaluate industry trends.

- Develop and maintain relationships with industry experts, company management, and sell-side analysts to gather information and insights.

- Monitor and analyze market and industry developments, news, and events that could impact the performance of companies within the sector.

- Collaborate with other members of the research team to share ideas, insights, and best practices.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the Indian mid cap sector.

Experience:

- 3-5 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or related fields.

Education:

- CA or MBA degree is required.

- CFA designation or progress towards completion is preferred.

Key Skill-sets:

- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise, accurate, and detailed manner.

- Ability to develop deep industry expertise in Indian mid cap stocks, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the sector.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and analyze market data to support research findings.

- Ability to build and maintain financial models for valuation and forecasting purposes.

- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite and financial modeling software.
