Job Opportunity For Associate Director Role With a Leading E-Commerce Company In Bangalore; (7-12 yr

Position : Associate Director

Location : Bangalore

Job description :

- Many of the things we are doing are first in the country and highly disruptive. This leader will need to be able to take bold industry-changing moves and follow it up with superb execution.

Strategic marketing and business planning :

- Develop/localize the overall marketing and communication strategy. Find effective ways to communicate the overall value proposition of our programs to Sellers in order to increase their usage/commitment. Develop targeted messages for specific categories of Sellers.

- Understand what drives the seller business. Develop business insights based on quantitative research and market surveys. Gather competitive intelligence, benchmark our services with competitors and identify gaps and opportunities.

- Identify business growth opportunities and trends

- Work with the Business Teams to develop and implement marketing actions to engage effectively with Existing Sellers and improve reach during the different stages of the Seller Life Cycle

- Work with the Product teams to develop and implement marketing plans for launching new product features and promoting existing ones on an ongoing basis

Marketing execution :

- Deliver high quality communication campaigns keeping Sellers informed about value proposition, new product features and programs across the country (including email, newsletters, landing pages, display ads, banners, webinars etc.)

- Develop and socialize tools such as videos and tutorials to help Sellers be more successful and increase their selection while selling

- Manage internal & external agencies and creative partners

- Drive localization of marketing content in multiple languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish)

- Ongoing improvement: Set-up metrics to systematically monitor the impact of marketing activities on the adoption of product features and the increase in seller commitment

Desired skills & experience :

- Start-up experience and/or mindset with high degree of comfort with ambiguity. Need to be curious, internally motivated self-starter with a can do attitude. Should be adept at working in fast paced, unstructured start-up environment

- Outstanding strategic thinking skills. Need to be a clear thinker with superb problem-solving skills to prioritize and stay focused on big needle-movers

- External orientation. A track record of looking outside to identify emerging trends and being able to capitalize on the opportunities they presented

- Market understanding of relevant spaces such as SMEs, Growth Hacking, Marketing etc.

- Product-mindset. Being able to capture the key customer need and productise technology-driven solution to address it

- Business acumen with a track record of consistently exceeding targets

- Outstanding facilitative leadership and interpersonal skills to quickly gain shared vision externally and internally in order to move things forward under extremely stringent deadlines

- Sense of ownership as a steward of the company and an infectious passion for their area of responsibility

- Outstanding senior management communication skills. Need to have really strong oral, written and presentation skills including ability to communicate very complex ideas in simple ways

Education : Top-tier engineering (e.g. IITs) with an MBA (e.g. Ivy League, IIMs) preferred

Experience : 8+ years
