Job Title: Associate Director - Global Meetings, Expenses, Travel Analytics & Governance

Location: Bangalore

About the role :

- This role involves the oversight and leadership of a dedicated team responsible for managing the governance and analytics activities for travel, meetings and events processes, policy and supporting global travel and meetings team. It also supports employees to be compliant with policies.

- The role requires a combination of leadership, coordination, and analytics skills to ensure that all requirements from T&E and M&E policies run smoothly and meet their objectives.

- This role requires a good understanding of travel and meeting industries practices and regulations (incl. different types of card products), as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments within an organization.

Key responsibilities :

- Oversee and lead a dedicated team responsible for managing process/tools with various technology/applications such as Concur/Cvent etc.

- Ensure that the meetings and events team operate within legal and organizational guidelines.

- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for their direct team members.

- Research and understand industry best practices. Continuously develops expertise in travel/M&E technology applications (e.g., Cvent/Concur/SpotMe) in order to be able to identify and help implement new best practices.

- Recommend process changes to maximize the efficiency of the team and improve the accuracy or the data being collected and reports.

- Support other teams in sourcing and operational activities as required

- Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to various stakeholders, including procurement, finance, tech, and senior leadership teams

- Present findings and insights through data visualization tools and techniques, making it easier for stakeholders to understand and act upon the information.

- Collaborates with the Operations and Sourcing team to streamline process Assist with implementation of the Meeting Card and Purchasing Card programs globally.

- 15+ years of experience in travel and events industry

- You will have ability to lead a team, set strategic goals, and manage the day-to-day operations efficiently.

- Proficiency with Concur/Cvent/SpotMe or any other meeting and event/travel and expense management tool.

- Experience with office suites and tools for managing registrations, databases and creating presentations.

- Proficiency in overseeing events and travel operations from conception to execution, including planning, logistics, and budget management.

- Ability to identify problems and offer solutions, especially when faced with unexpected challenges during events.

- Proficiency in overseeing events and travel operations from conception to execution, including planning, logistics, and budget management.

- You will have clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams, employees and event planners.

- You will have a good understanding of financial management, tracking expenses and helping to keep events within budget.

- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting software such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or specific T&E/M&E management software.

- Understanding and appreciating cultural differences across various regions, as well as adapting event strategies accordingly

- Experience in managing card products implementations/roll-outs.

- You will understand legal and regulatory compliance in various regions and the ability to mitigate risks associated with travel, events, and operations.

- You will have the capacity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changes and evolving needs in the global meetings, events, and travel industry.
