Role & Responsibilities:
The Associate Director - FP&A will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis activities within the organization. They will play a critical role in evaluating the financial performance of the company and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes. Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparation of Console P&L, Balance Sheet & other KPI Metrics:
- Generate accurate and timely financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet, consolidating data from various business units and subsidiaries.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company's financial health and performance.
2. Financial Performance Analysis:
- Compare and analyze actual financial results with budget and forecasts to identify variances and trends.
- Conduct in-depth analytical reviews of financial data to provide explanations for budget vs. actual discrepancies.
- Offer insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
3. Monthly Management Reporting:
- Assist in preparing the monthly management reporting deck, presenting financial insights and key findings to senior management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to aid in decision-making processes.
4. Inter Company Reconciliation:
- Perform inter-company reconciliation to ensure accurate and balanced financial transactions between various entities within the organization.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other relevant stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies on a monthly basis.
5. Financial Forecasting:
- Support in the preparation of financial forecasts to provide insights into future performance and aid in strategic planning.
6. Process Improvements and Reporting:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Create standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Minimum 14 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in a relevant finance role.
- General knowledge of accounting, financial principles, and operational aspects.
- Proficiency in using accounting software like QuickBooks and Tally. Knowledge of SAP or Oracle accounting platforms is preferred.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex financial challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various teams and present financial insights effectively.
- Ability to handle and analyze large datasets and files.
