This position is with a leading diversified Financial Services Organisation. It operates its shared services centre in India.
Rewards Finance is a global function based out of Gurgaon. The team is responsible for the end to end accounting and reporting for the remuneration arrangements globally, including the various retained equity and profit share products, and associated equity investments.
The team is responsible for the following functional areas related to rewards :
- Financial control
- New product assessments
- Investment accounting
- Journals and reconciliations
- Fx exposures & Hedging
- Invoicing and settlement
- Reporting to senior management- including board reporting, policy compliance
- Audit and preparation of relevant notes to Group Financial statement
- Working collaboratively across various regional teams, including corporate reporting, business performance & analysis, tax, treasury, HR and risk teams
Product control :
- Detailed reconciliations by employee - payments vs. accruals
- Reconciliation of Treasury shares
- Determining various rates and other parameters for employee retained plans, profit share, insurance plans etc
Business performance and reporting :
- Forecast, strategy and budget submissions;
- Management reporting - including variance actual to budgets
- Reporting by various products
Operations :
- Managing of multiple systems, including system enhancements and change management, on- going data integrity and query management
Key responsibilities include:
- Management oversight and review of the key deliverables
- Involved in New Product financial impact analysis
- Delivering the project book of work over the medium term and driving changes
- Engaging with senior stakeholders across multiple groups
- Engagement with Auditors
- Maintaining a strong cultural foundation, and control environment
- People leadership including Structuring & resourcing to the team
- Developing policies & processes where we have identified gaps
- Service delivery reporting - focused on identifying trends and themes,
- Developing a strong risk and control framework across each of the functional areas
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Professional accountancy qualification - Chartered Accountant with current experience in IFRS. USGAAP experience would be advantageous.
- Experience with Legal Entity Control / Group Financial Reporting /Financial Control.
- Experience in a Banking / IB / FS industry / Big 4 environment will be preferred.
- Experience of working in an International environment will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of post-qualification relevant industry experience
