The finance function needs to be aligned to business strategy, and provide financial analysis and insight to support corporate decision making, while also meeting legal and regulatory requirements as a given. Efficient Finance Operations - An efficient finance function helps identify and deliver specific improvements in order to unlock value and resources thus freeing up time for improved decision support activities. It is founded on a robust platform of integrated operational/transactional finance activities.
Effective Decision Support - This service network helps clients deliver a fit-for-purpose financial planning and performance management framework in order to help the business to make better decisions.
Finance Strategy and Transformation - Finance Strategy and Transformation helps a client to define the role of finance in driving the strategic business imperatives. It helps the CFO to clearly articulate its Finance vision and strategy, analyze the performance of the finance function, and develop a future state operating model that is fit for purpose.
Finance Shared Services - We work with clients in setting up Finance COEs and Shared Service Centres to leverage on various benefits emanating from these structures.

- ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate Directors will play the role of being team leaders in various Financial Management Advisory Services (FMAS) engagements as part of the larger Management Consulting Team at Big-4. The nature of engagements would consist of Finance Process Optimization, Quality Close & Integrating Reporting, Finance Function Benchmarking, Finance Shared Services & Outsourcing, Cash & Working Capital Management, Cost Management, Financial Information Management, Financial Performance Management, Planning Budgeting & Forecasting, Finance integration & separation, Finance organization design, Finance target operating model and Finance transformation especially in the Financial Services Sector.
Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge in specific solution areas
Meet stringent quality of engagement delivery through thorough and meticulous planning and execution of the tasks assigned
Regular interaction with senior client personnel for delivering engagements
Monitor progress of work against the engagement plan
Prepare the required deliverables in the format agreed with the Engagement Partner/Director
Manage project financials - revenue, billing, project financial health, etc
Lead Teams and ensure that team members are motivated to perform consistently at high levels of quality and delivery
Remain current on developments in the economy and the Financial Services Sector- specifically in areas of finance
Possess good understanding of business processes in a Financial Services Sector environment
Conduct research, read thought leadership and knowledge repositories on a regular basis to deliver as per engagement requirements
Work in a dynamic business environment and willing to adapt to industries outside of Financial Services Sector on a need basis
Participate & lead various firm/practice initiatives/programs
Plan out work for oneself and reporting team members where relevant
Responsible for performance development of identified team members
Maintain documentation as per required Big-4 quality standards
Involve in business development activity - identify leads, network within and outside Big-4 to spot opportunities
Ability to hold business development conversations with clients
Conceptualize and Develop concept notes, proposals and response to RFPs
Actively participate in developing thought leadership material around the services being delivered by the FMAS practice
- THE INDIVIDUAL
- Strong understanding in the Financial Services Sector of core finance processes such as Planning & Budgeting, Financial Reporting & Consolidation, Taxation, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Working Capital Management, etc
- Work experience in either a consulting organization focused on finance transformation or in the Financial Services industry working in a finance function
- Possess strong finance domain knowledge as well as understanding of key business processes in the Financial Services Sector
- Acumen for business development
- Experience of leading teams of at least 6 - 8 team members
- Basic understanding of ERP systems (oracle/SAP will be an advantage)
- Knowledge of MS office ( MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
- Understanding of process optimization, effectiveness, efficiency and control rationalization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage
- Demonstrate integrity, values, principles and strong work ethic
- Have the ability to work under pressure - stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours
- Willingness to travel within India or abroad for continuous long periods of time
