Associate Director - ESG Research - Rating Agency

Position: Associate Director - ESG Research

Role:

- Regularly publish in-depth, thematic research on ESG trends and implications, as well as make contributions to the agency's regular publications

- Focus on ESG-related research for India, but also be required to take on responsibility, develop expertise and analyse ESG trends in global markets, across different sectors and asset classes.

- Present and discuss internally and externally research findings and related outputs by actively participating in the Company's outreach efforts, including webinars, events and meetings with external parties.

Requirements:

- Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience in a research or analytical environment in financial services, business intelligence, consulting, or policy research.

- Have a track record of producing forward-looking thematic research for audiences in financial, professional services or related.

- Specific research experience in ESG and Sustainability will be a strong advantage.

- Expertise in a relevant discipline - e.g. industries analysis, macroeconomics, political economy.

- Exhibit a desire to deepen knowledge and expertise of current Sustainability/ESG themes and standards.

- Ability to synthesize information and data, assess and present implications in a clear and concise manner.

- Ability to work with and draw conclusions from data sets; experience with scenario analysis preferred.

- Be fluent in English (written and spoken).

- A Bachelors' degree (required), advanced degree (Masters or PhD) (preferred), industry accreditations (plus).

- Be intellectually curious and demonstrate an ability to rapidly assimilate knowledge and information, and then apply it to identify trends, themes, perform analysis and draw conclusions from data.

- Have direct knowledge and/or experience of at least one industry or asset class (e.g. Energy & Natural Resources, Transportation, Technology, Financial Institutions)
