Associate Director - Corporate & Government Affairs - Pharmaceutical

One of the worlds respected Pharmaceutical MNC seeks Associate Director for Corporate & Govt. Affairs. Following are the required skills, capabilities & experience:

1. Lead Company's Govt relations activities in India

a) Responsible for developing, implementing, communicating and executing the company's government affairs strategy and activities in India in support of Company's operational and R&D footprint in India including, but not limited to the following.

1. Support for manufacturing and R&D site and materials import/export licensing

2. Support for product registration and market entry as applicable

3. Monitoring policy developments relevant for company business in India to identify risks and opportunities and manage accordingly

- Serve as the key point of contact with trade associations, government agencies and public health institutions in India 

- Responsible for identifying opportunities and challenges, monitoring, and analyzing legislation and regulation affecting company'sfootprint in India. Interact with senior executives in India, Global R&D and International Markets to help understand impact of government agenda and policies on company's strategic objectives and operations, and develop Government Affairs strategy accordingly.

- Lead government relations activities in India.

- Responsible for developing, communication, and implementing the company's government affairs strategies, engagement activities and operational support in India across all functional areas. Serve as the key point of contact to discuss with government agencies and regulatory agencies in India.

- Serve as company's representative to external constituencies, including policymakers, government and legislative staff, other health care and trade associations, and other constituencies as needed.Coordinate multi-function efforts to develop company's positions on key policy issues in India. Has strong network with key stakeholders

- Interact with Government officials and policymakers to increase their knowledge and awareness of the Company, and the impact of various government related issues on its business and ability to deliver cost effective pharmaceutical products. As necessary, speak before audiences comprised of pharma and industry representatives regarding company and industry positions.

- Develop relationships and coalitions with health, trade and business organizations as potential coalition partners in advocacy for governmental policies advocated and supported by company.
