Associate Director

- Working at a bank, insurer, asset manager or financial institution

- Experience working with a variety of local and international stakeholders and clients

- Leading delivery for a business function, at a bank, insurer, asset manager or financial institution and understanding of applicable regulations on climate risk

- Climate risk modelling for purposes of physical and transition risks, including but not limited to scenario analysis, model development, ESG scorecards or metrics.

- Working knowledge of key regulatory or guidelines around climate risk including PRDA, BES, BIS, NYDFS or other relevant and applicable regulations.

- Experience on Model Risk Management, hands-on quantitative modelling, or model validation experience

- Working experience in climate risk modelling platforms is a plus.

- Collaboration with international organizations (e.g., UN, World bank, OCDE) a plus

- Experience developing clear and robust documentation for models

Job Responsibilities :

- Lead technical areas where climate risk is affecting clients such as banks, insurance, asset managers and financial institutions

- Develop models and implement new methodologies, including climate risk scenario analysis, ESG modelling

- Support multiple business functions including technical and non-technical.

- Weekly/monthly research on key trends of climate risk, and support special research projects as needed

- Prepare reports, presentations and other types of documentation

- Organize and execute complex tasks with short time scales

- Stakeholder management and ongoing project progress update

- Keep up with climate risk news and trends

Qualification :

- At least MSc. degree in quantitative fields such as mathematics, statistics or equivalent, PhD preferred, environmental degree acceptable.

- Climate Risk certification is a plus, e.g., SCR from GARP

- Frequent speaker at professional conferences in climate risk a plus

- Publication of whitepapers or tough leadership research in climate risk a plus
