As a Director for Automation, the individual will lead the Production Engineering team and own the Point Automation roadmap across all the engagements
Key role expectations are:
- Create, own and execute the automation roadmap across multiple engagements using various tools and technologies, within given constraints.
- Act as the Lead Business Analyst for the automation activities in the IT Infrastructure domain.
- Identify opportunities of automation within engagements; create business justification for the same, evaluate build vs buy decisions, identify risks and solutions and implement solutions.
- Design and implement the delivery process using appropriate SDLC methodologies and tools.
- Own the business requirement gathering and analysis, design of the solution, effort estimation and formulation of resource requirements, tracking of progress, reporting status and issue resolution.
- Own the PMO for the projects being executed.
- Train, motivate and mentor team members.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Project Management
- Lead the Requirement Gathering and analysis activity.
- Effort estimation, scheduling, resource requirements, etc.
- Deployment of resources to execute multiple projects simultaneously
Process Management
- Implement formal SDLC process as a part of development process.
- Implement PMP/Agile based Project Management process.
People Management
- Hire resources according to project requirements.
- Mentor and train resources to acquire new skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
Educational B.E., B.Tech. Or Equivalent in any discipline of Engineering.
Desirable certifications in TOGAF, PMP, ITIL, Agile Scrum.
Experience At least 12 years of industry experience
At least 5 years of experience in leading a development team.
At least 5 years of experience in implementing automation projects across various Infrastructure services amp; technologies like Compute, Networking, Storage, etc.

Should have experience in coding/scripting using technologies like C#/.Net, Python, PowerShell, etc.
Should have exposure to Monitoring tools (like Nagios, Zenoss, etc.) and ITSM tools (Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.).
