Designation : Associate Direct Tax Litigation Key responsibilities : - Tax advisory, Knowledge of Income Tax Act and the judicial precedents as well as have good drafting skills and logical thinking to assess the facts and apply the law and judicial precedents - Transaction advisory, Understanding the transaction, suggest or evaluate the structure, examine its viability, suggest changes as per commercial requirement, negotiate tax provisions in the transaction documents, draft appropriate clauses in transaction documents and assist with completion of the transaction and post completion. - Tax litigation support requiring very good understanding of the legal process, strategizing and also drafting submissions as well as briefing counsel with the most relevant points for arguing the matter. - Good understanding of Income Tax Act and its interrelationship with the double taxation avoidance agreements. - Good understanding of the legal basis of the provisions of the income tax law and how they are to be interpreted and applied. Experience : Candidate should have post qualification experience of 2 to 4 years in Direct Tax and Litigation. Educational Qualifications : LLB Skills &amp; Competencies : - Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
