BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

Derivative Operations provides support for our derivative desks in managing risk, deliver client service, and oversee the efficiency of trade processing. Additionally, we bring new deals and products to the market by ensuring all processes are controlled and managed effectively. The team is comprised of asset classes including Equities, Credit, Forex, Interest Rates, Bank Loans and Commodities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The department's responsibilities can be broadly grouped in to the following areas:-

- Confirmation / Documentation

- Settlement

- Reconciliation / Control

- Middle Office

The tasks of the teams are shared and tracked via checklist, with team members being responsibly for different tasks, functions and clients but with the expectation that the team manage the team's goals centrally.

The candidate will be expected to gain thorough knowledge of the functional group and the asset class they are responsible for.

SKILL / EXPERIENCE

Financial Product Acumen

- Derivatives product knowledge (Eg,Credit/Equity/Rates)

- Strong understanding of risk management principles

- Good Attention to detail with strong analytical and logical skills

- Strong communication skills

- Strong client service

- Strong technical skills

- Experience with speaking with trading desks and Middle Office teams

- Inquisitive mindset

- Good technical/system knowledge

- Ability to manage competing priorities and stay focused throughout the day

- Self motivated team player who takes ownership and accountability for work

- Strong organizational skills

- Proactive and can work well independently
