Credit Underwriting Associate

We are looking for an individual with 1-2 years experience in a credit underwriting role with a Bank/ FinTech under secured/ unsecured loan products . The ideal candidate will be a process oriented individual with key attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create a credit underwriting policy basis for each client on our platform.

- Implementation of Credit Policy and continuous evaluation to ensure adherence to the Policy and compliance with the Authority Matrix at branches in the area assigned.

- Develop, implement and manage the Credit Appraisal and Risk Management of the company's lending business

- Analyze the market trends to benchmark the underwriting policies with the market

- Analyzing reports that explain the degree of risk involved in extending credit and strategizing ways to mitigate the risks.

- Keeping delinquency under control

- Ability to set an overall strategy and drive the operations team towards achieving their goals.

- On-boarding & monitoring lending partners by understanding their products and requirements in a quick and seamless manner.

- Defining and implementing operational strategies and monitoring processes to facilitate lending with adherence to new and existing guidelines and internal company policies.

- Maintain regular and open communication with the operations team and technology team about assigned tasks, priorities and ensure applications under development meet the defined requirements and pass the user acceptance testing prior to its release.

- Take ownership of the tasks with focus on quality and accuracy of the deliverables

- Demonstrate strong learning curve and eagerness to move up the rating value chain

- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.

- Highly organized and efficient, with ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

Key Requirements:

- 1-3 years of minimum work experience, preferably in the Bank/ NBFC/ Fintech space.

- The candidate MUST have credit underwriting experience in the secured/ unsecured loans space.

- Understanding of digital loans and credit appraisal.

- High IQ: A clear demonstration of this in the past is a requirement

- Ability to work hard and long hours on difficult problems. A clear demonstration of doing this in the past is a requirement.

- Great communication and people skills. This role involves interacting heavily with both internal and external teams
