Job Summary :
Global Credit Risk and P&L is a Middle Office Finance function for Product and Financial Control within the GBS organization. The primary responsibility for a product controller is to produce Risk and P&L for the trading desk, substantiate these numbers, explain to both the traders and onshore Finance Directors and ensure that they maintain a - control- environment.
- Global Credit consists of Flow, Structured and Securitized Business.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Perform, Oversee, and review daily Risk, T+1 PnL and MIS production for Credit Trading desks, including
- PnL compilation.
- PnL analysis and commentary
- Trade booking review and investigation
- Liaising with FO and MO on PnL booking matters
- Review daily reconciliations for material and aged breaks
- Review the Balance Sheet for the desks and understand financial exposures.
- Review all PnL adjustments and own their resolution.
- Ensure that risk is correctly reported and explain any deviations.
- Calculate Transfer Pricing, where applicable
- Assisting in preparation and dissemination of monthly balance sheet pack
- Detailed review of all P&L adjustments with controllers (aging and categorisation), including ownership for resolution.
- Current state analysis and re-engineering of PnL processes onto strategic tools
- Be able to drive and co-ordinate strategic initiatives from PSC standpoint, including UAT.
- Be an instigator of processes changes with a view to creating efficiencies.
- Standardisation of PnL reporting processes. Ensuring that proper accounting standards have been used

Qualification & Experience required :
Qualification :
- MBA or Chartered Accountant (C.A.), Bachelor's degree in a Finance related subjects with relevant experience/ Master in Financial Management (full time or part time) with relevant experience. MBA / CA preferred.
- 3yr - 5yr of Experience working in the financial sector and/or finance service centres with Strong Accounting Background.
Experience :
- The individual should be fully conversant with the fundamentals of financial control in a banking environment
- The individual with preferably have experience working in the Product Control/Financial Control/ Trade Services functions of an established financial institution, with a detailed understanding of equity products and there accounting treatment.
- MS Office skills: - MS-Power Point, MS-Access, MS-Excel & through knowledge of lookups & pivot tables required, Ability to perform Excel spreadsheet analysis and ability to troubleshoot errors in Access.
- The individual must have a good overview of Global Credit & Global Finance. Must have an appreciation of the revenue drivers and various investment strategies
- Exposure to multiple front office systems.
- Basic knowledge of Greeks is a must.
- Knowledge of US-GAAP/IAS is preferred.

- Experience of dealing with Front-office traders, in particular demanding traders or managing difficult situations such as trading errors.

- The individual must have a proven track record of the ability to work to deadlines in an accurate manner - this is a fundamental requirement

- Experience in carrying out 4-eye checks.
