Associate Consultant - Investment Research (B1)

Process Brief:

- To this regard, the Investment Research and Reporting team in India supports the Portfolio Managers, with regular updates and commentaries on the Key Performance indicators of these securities. Team collects these reports by regular interaction with various trustees, banks and gathering information from third party information provider like Bloomberg, Intex etc. further extracting relevant data and populates the client's database -PHOBOS, Ouranos, MAIA. Along with the population of the database, the team also reports various KPIs of the instrument. Investment Research and Reporting team forms the single point of contact for the client for any reports related to their portfolio

Position Brief & Process Summary:

- Candidate to have in depth knowledge of instruments like CDO (Collateralized Debt Obligation), ABS (Asset Backed Securities) Private Equity - Will have to manage the team, ensuring achieving daily deliverables and agreed quality levels - Ability to question the data provided in Trustee reports & Note Valuation Reports and seek clarification in case of ambiguity in Waterfall calculation - Ability to calculate coupon generated in various CDOs - Identify potential concern areas & initiate proactive steps to overcome the concerns in the CDO database - Drive the process to achieve highest level of efficiency - Handle multiple process and take responsibilities of maintaining all the process to the highest levels - Work on ABS and CDO and also look over Ardian process simultaneously Key Accountabilities - Ability to set priorities, plan and organize work - Adherence to compliance requirements - Ensuring completion of daily deliverables , adhoc requests and client's requirements - Facilitating and planning career progression for team members - Foster teamwork, maintain & improve team morale and motivation

- Ensuring regular connect with the partners to understand challenges, opportunities and plan business objective - Identifying new opportunities and expanding service offerings - Understanding financial data and seek clarification in case of ambiguity - Identify potential concern areas & initiate proactive steps to overcome the concerns in the existing system

Qualifications - MBA / PGDM

- 5-8 years' experience in investment research and reporting

- Experience of working in the Investment Research and reporting domain will be highly preferred

- Taking ownership & accountability of individual deliverables

Specific Knowledge required:

- Sound knowledge of various investment products like Equity, Fixed Income, Derivative and Alternative products

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

- Good communication skills (written and verbal)

- SQL, VBA knowledge will be preferred
