The position in discussion is with the Deal Advisory team at KPMG Global Services (KGS), which is KPMG's global delivery center and is an integral part of the firm's strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally.

KGS-Deal Advisory Group is a team of over 415 professionals based in Gurgaon.

The Corporate Finance team works on a wide variety of engagements in the public and private sectors.

- Our Corporate Finance professionals have advised on or arranged critical and sensitive equity and debt transactions valued in the multi-billions in every sector for some of the world's largest corporations, financial institutions and governments.

- Our global network allows us to mobilise international teams, who have a sense of regional market conditions and can consider local issues such as taxes and market regulations, in a timely manner

- We advise buyers, sellers, borrowers, lenders and financial investors in: equity & debt capital raising; capital restructuring and securitizations; M&A; divestitures and demergers; joint ventures and transaction alliances

Roles and responsibilities : 

We are recruiting for Associate Consultant in the team. Working as Associate Consultant in this team, your responsibilities will include :

- Responsible for the analysis of financials, generating and analysing of research information, preparation of company profiles and proposal supporting documents

- Proficiency with relative valuations and market multiples;

- Perform company and industry research;

- Good working knowledge of Intrinsic valuations (creating and reviewing DCF models);

- Developing buy side and sell side pitches, valuation of companies ;

- Stay informed of current business, economic and regulatory developments relevant to our clients;and

- Establish strong professional relationships with onshore team members

Essential skills required : 

Education / professional qualifications : MBA / CFA

Prior Experience :

- The candidate must have 2 to 4 years of working experience in either corporate roles, investment banks, or similar analytical/ deal experience, Financial Analysis, Valuation & Pitch support (buy side, sell side);

- Project and Team management exposure 

- Credible record of operating as an independent contributor and also working as part of a team during larger projects

- High problem solving skills; ability to drive through to an outcome in circumstances of complexity and ambiguity

- Goal driven : Should be focused on helping clients meet their requirements by developing answers and solutions when client requirement remains unclear / changes, and by providing relevant insights and key questions to fit the client objective

Technical skills :

- Understanding and exposure to accounting and financial statements analysis;

- Proficiency in using research databases like Captial IQ, Merger Market, Bloomberg, Factiva, Thomson Reuters and others.

- Good understanding of corporate finance principles, corporate transactions, valuation techniques

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power point;

- A commercial outlook and a good understanding of the general business and economic environment

- Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills - able to demonstrate how one supports the other - and sound commercial acumen

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
